If you follow me elsewhere on social media, you already know I’m obsessed with the waterlogue watercolor app. While I can’t resist making watercolors of Penelope, I have to say I think the app does best at transforming travel pictures. Here are a few of my favorites!
The National Mall from the steps of the Lincoln
Harrods in London
A winery in Stellenbosch, South Africa
I should note that these app people have no idea who I am, I’m just OBSESSED. Have you been water-coloring anything recently?
I try not to let myself get TOO ahead of the season, even though the craft stores have already unpacked some Christmas ornaments! I did sneak some pumpkins into our decor earlier this month, but that’s the only Fall decorating that’s happened around here. I think I’ll wait for Fall to officially start before I give up on Summer. But that doesn’t mean I can’t start thinking about Halloween, Fall, & Thanksgiving decorating!
Here’s a look at last year’s Halloween decorations. I made a paper flower bouquet, had our spider salt and pepper shakers hang out on some old books & baked some cream-cheese filled pumpkin cupcakes, with bat cupcake toppers.
Continuing on the bat trend, I had a whole cloud of bats take over our screen door. I especially loved the shadows they made in the house / on the door when the door was open and the sun was shining in. (BTW, this was insanely difficult to photograph!)
I don’t know why, but I find bats a little less creepy than mice and spiders. At least when it comes to Halloween decor. If I had to pick one of the 3 to find in my house, I would definitely pick spiders! (Which we already have plenty of, so please don’t send more my way!). I know I want to incorporate bats into the decor again this year, but last year’s bats didn’t survive, so I’ll have to cut out new ones. With that in mind, I wanted to share a little no-cutting needed bat printable for Halloween. I’ve sized these to 5″x7″, since I like to pop them into picture frames around the house.

Please let me know if you use these in your Halloween decor!
